Every April we announce updates to Membership benefits and any process changes as part of our annual review of the services we provide to those in our network. The updating and improvement of the services we provide to our members is a continuing commitment to deliver the best value for money for all in our network.
From April 2015 we have made some changes to membership:
Changes to Membership Pricing
As we enter our 4th year of trading SEWM are increasing the cost of each level of membership. We informed the network last year about the changes – we have not raised membership fees in the past four years and we have ensured that the percentage increase remains as minimal as possible.
- Basic: £55 +vat
- Plus: £155 +vat
- Premier: £335 +vat
- Social Value Supporter: £535 +vat
- Social Innovation Partner: £1335 +vat
This equates to only a 5.2% increase to membership.
Price freeze: There will be prices freezes applicable to public sector bodies providing statutory services; Local Authorities, CCGs, NHS Trusts, Emergency Services.
Changes to Membership Payment Options for Basic and Plus Members
From this point onwards, all Basic and Plus membership applications and renewals can be paid via PayPal only. This is due to the high costs involved in the processing of invoices.
SEWM will only process invoices for these levels of membership in very exceptional circumstances.

Automated renewals process
As illustrated in April 2014’s membership update communications, all membership levels will also start to be automatically renewed from this point onwards.
If you do not wish to renew, we require written notification of this by no later than the end of month 10 of your membership. If you wish to continue your membership, you will be sent an invoice in month 11 or funds will be withdrawn from your PayPal account on your membership renewal date.
