Social Enterprise Places
Social Enterprise UK recognizes and supports towns, cities, villages and zones that wish to declare themselves as ‘hot spots’ of social enterprise activity through its Social Enterprise Place programme.
The Social Enterprise Place programme, supported by Santander, is a national award and programme accrediting and supporting hotspots of social enterprise around the UK. There are now 20 social enterprise places and hot off the press our first international social enterprise place! The programme aims to shine a light on exemplar social enterprises in a locality, share best practice from around the UK and helps build the #socent market by bringing business to these social enterprises. The programme has received cross party support from the Prime Minister and local authority leaders.
This event, held in Birmingham will bring together social enterprise places from around the country to share best practice, showcase exemplar places and identify ways of connecting the places - helping grow the sector, raise awareness and encourage more people to ‘buy social’. Hear from those places who have successfully collaborated, secured finance and support to build innovative ecosystems geared towards generating income and social impact. Thanks to Santander UK for supporting the Social Enterprise Places programme which aims to build markets at a local and national level. This event will feature;
