Networking and collaboration

One of our most important roles is to facilitate networking and collaboration between our members in order to help them:

  • compare and discuss issues of common interest

  • develop and share ideas, innovation and good practice

  • work with projects that have similar objectives

  • meet new people and build mutually beneficial relationships

  • access information and support

We help our members learn from one another through various means:

  • Networking Events: Each quarter we hold a members networking event at a social enterprise.  

  • Signposting:  We regularly receive enquiries about help that is available to start and support social enterprises in different parts of the region.  We try to make accurate referrals.

  • Virtual meetings: We recognise that our members come from all parts of the region and often it’s inconvenient to travel.  We are therefore piloting ‘virtual meetings’ which begain in February 2008.  It’s easy to participate and -using Skype software – it’s completely free!
